Sulphur Council 3015 was founded in 1946 and received its charter from the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council in New Haven, Connecticut on December 15, 1947. The charter members totaled 61 Knights. This council was the first one to be formed in West Calcasieu. Over the years the brotherhood has flourished and Knights have been able to leave this council to form five new councils in the area: Westlake, Vinton, North Sulphur, Maplewood, and Carlyss. Currently there are just slightly less than 200 members who belong to Sulphur Council 3015.
Our council meeting and activity center is located across from Sulphur High School at 401 Ash Street. Meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the second Wednesday of every month after a meal at 6:00 PM and a Rosary at 6:40 PM.
